Week 8: Post-Processing Workshop (Photoshop) + Social (Next week: BEACH BONFIRE)

Hello all!

This week we’ll be holding a workshop on doing post-processing in Lightroom and Photoshop! Bring a photo you want to improve, or follow along with one of the provided images. Learn how the pros get perfect skin and shine, and do away with flyaways! Also some basic tips and tricks on fixing white balance, and getting that studio look.

We’ll be in Ackerman Union 3517 this Friday, March 1st, at 4:00 PM. Afterwards, we’ll head out to Westwood for dinner and more photography conversation.

You’ve been asking for it…it’s finally here! Photo Club is going to lay the cherry on top of an amazing Winter Quarter with our first ever beach bonfire! You can look forward to all the fun and games of the classic bonfire — s’mores, bonding, and new friends — but we’ll be adding our own special twists with an epic sunset photoshoot followed by light painting once the sky grows dark. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to make connections with some amazing photographers, meet new friends, and even come away with some shots!

We do anticipate this event being popular and will need a head count to know how much food to buy; as a result, you must sign up in order to attend. The cost is $5, which will cover food and hopefully reimburse drivers for gas. We will be meeting at Ackerman loop at 3:45 on Friday, March 8 (Week 9). If you can drive, make sure to say so on the form — you’ll receive front of the line privileges and you’ll earn hundreds of awesome points!
