Hello all!
Thanks to everyone who went to the Santa Monica outing! The Photography Club at UCLA’s next meeting will be on Friday, October 12th, when we’ll be meeting up at 4:00 PM at the Santa Fe Room at Sunset Rec (closest entrance to the dorms from behind Hedrick Hall). Stop by for food and hear about the Photography Club’s plans for the rest of the quarter (and later in the year)! If you’re interested in purchasing a shirt, we’ll be selling them at the meeting for $15, so make sure to bring some cash!
Members interested in the introductory photography class will be pleased to hear that we will be holding a 4-hour workshop next Saturday, October 20th, starting at 2:00 pm. We’ll be meeting at the Bruin Bear. If you didn’t sign up for the class, sign up here. A more formal email will be sent out to interested individuals shortly.
Photography in LA:
The monthly Los Angeles Art Walk is tomorrow, October 11th. Stop by and check out the countless free exhibitions, installations, and performance art in downtown LA. Typical hours are from noon – 10pm, and the majority of the galleries are located on Spring and Main, between 2nd and 9th. To get to downtown, take the 720 bus ($1.50 one-way) and get off at 6th and Main.
