Week 3 Meeting: High Speed Photography + College Night at the Getty

Hello!

Thanks to those who went to our meeting last Friday! This Friday, we’re having a workshop on high speed photography this Friday, April 20th at 4 pm in Ackerman Union 3517 . Check out some examples of high speed photography here.

Feel free to submit photos to us at photoclubatucla@gmail.com. We’re starting weekly themes, and this week’s theme is Black and White!  Also remember to bring some cash, because we’ll also be selling Photography Club at UCLA shirts for $15. (You can also pay through Paypal. Just remember to give us your name and phone number.)

If you couldn’t make it to our previous meetings, check out the previous posts which have all been updated with event photos. If you’ve got photos of our own to add, feel free to email them to us or post on the forums!

Some other news for you all!

Monday, April 16th, is College Night at the Getty Museum! There will be free food, music, and an awesome featured exhibit, Herb Ritts: L.A. Style. Herb Ritts (1952–2002) was a Los Angeles-based photographer who established an international reputation for his distinctive photographs of fashion models, nudes, and pop icons. The event runs from 6 – 9:30 pm, but we’ve arranged for a special behind-the-scenes tour at 5:30 pm. If you’ve signed up for the tour, meet up at 4:30 pm in front of Hedrick Hall. Make sure to bring bus fare! ($1.50 one way). There will be shuttles back to the UCLA campus.
