Thanks to everyone who went to last week’s beach bonfire! This week we’ll be heading to the West Halloween Hollywood Carnaval! It’s the largest Halloween street party in the world, with an estimated 500,000 visitors a year. We’ll be meeting up at the Bruin Bear at 6:00pm this Thursday, Oct. 31. Make sure to bring money for bus fare, because we’ll be taking the Metro 2 bus ($1.50 each way). If you’re planning on driving, leave early! Traffic will be horrible. This is a great chance to do event photography, and because of low-light conditions, it’s advised to bring a fast lens and a flash. And don’t forget a costume!
Joshua Tree Signups are CLOSED!
Thanks to everyone who signed up for our Joshua Tree camping/astro/landscape/photography trip! Sign ups are closed! We’ll be keeping you guys up to date on costs, what to bring, and the schedule for the trip in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
What’s happening in LA: WESTWOOD
The entire month of November is Arts Restore LA, right here in Westwood! It’s a series of popup shops, workshops, and other programming hosted by our own UCLA Hammer Museum! The opening celebration is this Friday, Nov. 1st, with free food, music, and more! And it’s located at 1028 Westwood Boulevard, across from and slightly south of The Corner Bakery. Other Friday events include a letterpress workshop and a jazz performance.
